Thank you for joining us to #ShowTheLove

This February we have seen that beautiful things can happen when we come together. From forests and football pitches, to the food on your table - across the country we have gathered to #ShowTheLove for things we want to protect from climate change.

Throughout February, we asked you to make, wear and share your green hearts, which reflects belief in the possibility of a cleaner, safer future. The creativity and passion has been overwhelming.

To kick off Show The Love, we released a timely report, ‘Recipe For Disaster’, showing how British fruit and vegetables are at risk as growers struggle to cope with the impacts of climate change. The message was shared far and wide as we started new conversations about the food we cherish (read the report here), gaining coverage in over 200 media channels, including Sky News, ITV News, and the Daily Mail.

James Norton starred in our film showcasing what human ambition can achieve if harnessed to protect the living planet. It was watched and shared far and wide because after all, who wouldn’t agree that our greatest achievement yet would be saving our world? (watch our film here).

But that wasn’t the only familiar face wearing and sharing their green hearts proudly to #ShowTheLove for all they want to protect from climate change….

Whether you’ve been busy crafting green hearts, getting your hands dirty planting trees, or making your voices heard by sharing what you want to protect with your MP — you’ve been part of something huge. The support has been astonishing…

both in our own communities, and stretching across the world! (even as far as Antarctica!)

From thinking about our diet, to switching our home energy; from reconsidering our mode of transport, to assessing the impacts of our waste– thousands of us took challenges to reduce our personal carbon footprints.

Green hearts flooded Westminster, as politicians proudly wore Green Hearts given by constituents, and started conversations with their colleagues.

And our MPs were challenged to commit to a future where the UK no longer contributes to climate change.

Last year we united to #ShowTheLove for the sports we cherished. This year even more of our favourite sports have joined in!

We want to say a massive thank you to everyone who joined us to #ShowTheLove and made your voice heard for the things you want to protect from climate change. But why let the journey end there?
