This past week saw something incredible take shape: Constituents across the country have been having heart-to-hearts with MPs about how climate change is affecting the things we love and the decisions they can make to help protect them.

More than a hundred events — from green drinks at the pub to a Share Fair in Sussex to a solar celebration — popped up in all corners of the country, igniting an unforgettable celebration of the power of communities. The events may have been diverse, but our message was united: Together we can create a future where the UK no longer contributes to climate change.

The most exciting thing is that it’s not just people like you and me who were speaking up — an incredible 135 MPs and peers (and counting!) have signed their names to a momentous cross-party joint letter asking the Prime Minister to back a UK net zero emissions target ahead of 2050.

We can’t thank you enough for all your support and enthusiasm this Speak Up Week. By speaking up, we’ve come together to help protect the life we love, celebrate our wonderful communities, and start new conversations about climate change.

Didn’t have a chance to Speak Up this past week? Don’t worry! Momentum is stronger than ever and, with almost every meeting with MPs resulting in them signing the joint letter letter, it truly is the perfect time to continue to encourage them to sign their support.
